Our personal journey in adopting children put us face to face with the inadequacies of the foster care system in meeting the needs of children who suffer from trauma and PTSD. In addition, the vulnerability of children in these circumstances are also very apparent. It also became quite clear of the lack of services available and needed to support children who have been through levels of grief and loss.

It is clear Barnardo’s understands these deficiencies and works hard to fill that gap for youths and their families. Barnardo's helps hundreds of thousands of children, young people, parents and carers across the UK to meet their needs when these needs aren’t met by typical institutions. They do whatever it takes to protect and support them because they believe that all children have the right to a happy and healthy life. At a time when more young people need specialized assistance with complex issues, their work is more vital than ever. Barnardo’s shows up for these young ones and their supporters and we are excited to show up for them by raising money for such a deserving charity and run the London marathon. Any amount is appreciated and we are excited to take this be an ally to such a wonderful organization!
