Knaresborough Town AFC are a not for profit football club run by volunteers. We support the Rainbow Care Group who provide dementia day care services across North and West Yorkshire including specialist sports service day care groups. On two days a week the Rainbow Care Group use our clubhouse facilities to provide care. On those days part of the activities is for some of our volunteers to play football and have fun with some of the clients who attend the group. We are not carers just men playing football together. We see the happiness that everyone, clients and volunteers involved gets from it and as a club we want to help more by raising funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK who with support will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia. We exist for a cure.
