In July 2024 Karen and Frankie will be taking part in the Peak District Ultra Challenge, walking 100km in less than 24 hours. We have chosen Police Care UK as the charity to raise money for as they have supported a number of colleagues who have and are broken.

Police Care UK makes sure both serving and former police colleagues who suffer harm, and their families, have someone to turn to when things get tough.

Police Care UK provide practical, emotional, and financial support that is confidential, independent and accessible.

Police Care mission is to reduce the impact of harm on police and their families. They do this by ensuring everyone is aware of the harm police experience, enable people to recover and rebuild their lives, and engage with the police service to do all they can to reduce or prevent harm.

The work of Police UK is phenomenal and the care they have provided colleagues in helping them recover from trauma can not be underestimated. Policing takes its toll and to know there is a charity that provides this support and the genuine care they have shown for our friends and colleagues makes this a charity close to our hearts.
