A group of ladies from Kangoo club NI will be taking on the Mourne Seven Summits challenge On Saturday 18th June 2022 to raise money for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. This tough challenge will involve climbing to the summit of all seven peaks in the Mourne Mountains, Co.Down that are 700m or more above sea level. Following a fixed route walkers will take on the following mountains:

Slieve Donard 850m

Slieve Commedagh 765m

Slieve Bernagh 727m

Slieve Meelmore 704m

Slieve Meelberg 708m

Slieve Binnian 747m

Slieve Lamagan 704m

This is a huge challenge for us but we are training hard with support/advice/encouragement from The Irish Mountain Man keeping us motivated and pushing us to go further each week. We are determined to conquer all seven mountains.

We can't forget the reason behind this, Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on Cancer Focus NI, pausing most of their services and postponing all of their fundraising events. 90% of their income comes from fundraising alone, so their funds are at a seriously low level. By supporting me in the Mourne Seven Summits challenge you will be helping to save Cancer Focus NI so they can continue to deliver vital services to the cancer patients and families across Northern Ireland.
