Story
Walking the South West Coast Path has always been on my bucket list, and as I live so close to it I thought what a good way to mark my 50th birthday but to walk from where I work in Exmouth, past where I live in Sidmouth to the end of the path which is in Studland near Poole.
I will be supporting 3 charities: Hospiscare, Cancer Research and the South West Coastal Path and instead of sending me cards or any presents please donate to one or all of them.
This is the Hospiscare page but I will link them all as a team.
Hospiscare are a local charity who support my role as a GP immensely, offering support, symptom control and end of life care to my patients in and around Exmouth. They are brilliant and are having to make cut backs due to lack of funding. my job would be so much harder without them!
Cancer Research are vitally important to find new cures and treatment for this horrible disease that has affected fair too many of my friends and family.
And last but by no means least I am raising money for The South West Coast path, as without this path I would not be able to do my walk or the many local runs I have carried out over the years.
