This May my childhood friend, Gemma, and I are walking the first quarter of the Jurassic Coast (25km) to raise vital funds for MND in memory of both our mums, Diana and Clarissa, who suffered from this cruel disease.

With motor neurone disease, known as MND, messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste, which can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. It is life-shortening - my mother, Diana, died within 21 months of her diagnosis aged 73 - and there is still no cure.
