In 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, I was a single mum home with my son. Because we were on lockdown in the house day and night, it left me plenty of time to reflect. This was when I decided to take action on my weight gain and I began skipping. Within 6 months I had lost an amazing 22 pounds. I loved skipping for both health and weight loss benefits, I found it to be so much fun, and I started inspiring others to do the same.

Fast forward to 2021 I am now reflecting on all of the life-changing heartbreaking things that been happening globally the last year such as Racial Injustice and Femicide Domestic Violence. It has been so difficult to watch on the news and feel so helpless.

This is why I decided to take my love for the sport of skipping and raise money for both causes. I will be doing 500 skips each day for the month of May and raising money for two charities; Show Racism The Red Card and Women's Aid. 

What can I do?

1. Sponsor me by donating to one or both of my nominated charities

3. Set your own skipping targets, film yourself, and use hashtag #jumpforchange
