Raising money for British Heart Foundation and Plymouth Hospital Charity

Story

Thanks for your support with my London Marathon JustGiving challenge!

For the past 3 years life has thrown various curve balls, like it does for everyone. Firstly it challenged my own health and I had various investigations, thankfully it turned out to be life changing not life threatening. Last year saw the sad passing of Kelly Stabb and Steve Butler and when I initially applied for the marathon I was going to raise money for their charities. However, this year saw a surprise closer to home, my mum underwent a triple heart pass in September and is making amazing progress.

My mum and I do these random things together, for example, lets apply for the London marathon. Never really thinking we will get in again, yes we have done it before, so should have known better! Mum didn't get in but I did, which is just as well since shes only 6 weeks into her recovery. Sadly though I have lost my partner in crime until she can at least drive again.

To give me the motivation I need, I am not only raising money for the British Heart Foundation but also Plymouth's Derriford Hospital, in particular for Coronary ICU/HDU who were amazing for the unexpected week she was in there.

The page should be linked for both charities and you will need to select which charity you wish to support me with, or alternatively, being cheeky you could kindly go into each one and donate to both.

Am I fit enough - no, but rest assured I will do my best and I WILL finish it come hell or high water and yes I am aware this time I am older and fatter as you will see from the picture I will post on here in time. Christmas is also on its way and the marathon is going to whiz round the corner after. Please don't laugh at my insanity, I am getting old and I am concerned it will only get worse!

My page donations will be sent direct to the charity in a fast and secure way. Its efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity. Let's do this!

Thank you in advance for your support.
