Story

We are the Jubilee Jewels! A group of fearless women who have found friendship, support and laughter through swimming in the Jubilee, swiftly followed by cake and coffee! 😃
We have supported each other through many ups and downs. 2 of us have had cancer in the last 2 years and have gratefully not needed Thames Hospice. One of us has a sister who works there. One of us has lymphoedema and is having ongoing treatment there. We have mutual friends, a couple, who were supported last year when he passed away from a brain tumour. And one of the Jubilee Jewels has a sister who is currently being supported by them as her husband has a terminal brain tumour. So lots of reasons for this fundraising swim! Thames Hospice are here to ensure that patients and their families are cared for with the utmost compassion, dignity and respect. Funds raised from this swim will ensure that Thames Hospice can continue to provide care to those in the local community.
