My dad, as many of you will know, spent a lot of his time helping others, and up until his recent illness, spent many hours giving back to the local community. He supported charities of all sizes and loved nothing more than putting others needs before himself. Whilst he was a big supporter of many charities, we have chosen three to raise funds for in his memory;

- Ham & Petersham SOS

- Pancreatic Cancer UK

- Royal National Lifeboat Institute

We've written a little bit more about each of these three charities on the individual Just Giving pages, and why they mean a lot to us and John.

We hope you'll agree that they are all very deserving of funds, and the work that they do is invaluable.

Near the end of his life, my dad was cared for and looked after by the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. Whilst we have not included this charity within the Just Giving Team, my wife and I will be supporting them with donations of furniture and clothing from my father's home, to then sell via their charity shops.

My dad has left a very big gap in our life, as I'm sure he has many others. And whilst there is nothing we can do to change this, we hope that by raising funds for these three incredible causes, we may at least be able to create something positive at a time when we are incredibly sad and my dad is so incredibly missed.
