As we know, it is often those who are vulnerable that can be worst affected. This is especially true in countries where there is little or no government support for people if they lose their jobs. The Salvation Army is responding to COVID-19 around the world and working with individuals, families and communities that have been hit hardest by this pandemic. We have already seen immediate responses by our local Salvation Army partners in India, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mali, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Nigeria, Malawi, Ghana. As the pandemic affects other countries, particularly those in the global South, The Salvation Army will be ramping up its efforts in those countries too.
