Raising money for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice (Chichester) and THE CHRISTIE CHARITY

Story

Hello, my name is Jay, and I am 12 years old.

In 2016, I challenged myself to complete 3 running challenges to raise money for The Christie. I completed the Mini Manchester Run, Tough Mudder Mini Mudder and Iron Kids raising £190!

This year I was planning on fundraising with my brother and we planned to raise money for The Christie and St Wilfrids in Chichester, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic this hasn't been possible, so I decided I would do something from home instead, we had originally planned to do more races and events but as everything is cancelled we thought it would be good to combine Fortnite, my favourite game, and fundraising, so as the new season launches on the 17th I will attempt to play for a full 24 hours on Friday the 19th through to Saturday the 20th (I can't do it on the 17th as I have homeschool work to complete!) Unfortunately, I'm only 12 so I have had to convince my dad to join me for the full 24 hours!

I will be streaming the FULL 24 hours so everyone can watch our progress live and join in the chat to keep us awake and motivated! My brother will be helping to respond to comments and suggestion that people make during the live stream (but he’ll be going to sleep as he is only 10!). I won't have seen or played any of the new season until we launch the game on Friday the 19th so it will all be new to me (which is really hard as I want to see the new stuff when it launches!)

**Because just giving only allow one charity at a time, there is a team list below so you can pick your charity of choice (or both!) to donate to.**

The donation link for St Wilfrids hospice is >> HERE << St Wilfrids looked after my Grandad Kevin, they give him support and care when he got very ill and they supported my family when passed away peacefully at the hospice.

The donation link for The Christie is >> HERE << The Christie have helped my auntie Catherine and are currently treating my Grandad John, giving them both support and care whilst they have been going through their cancer treatments.

Both charities mean a lot to me and have done a lot to care for everyone in my family during the hard times.
