We provide social support to Scotland's Cystic Fibrosis Community

Story

The Butterfly Trust is a foundation which is close to our hearts and provides amazing support and guidance to those living with Cystic Fibrosis. We have chosen to take part in the Kilt Walk 2025 to raise money for this charity as a way to help raise awareness of the condition as well as show our appreciation for the immense work they do every day.

For those who aren’t familiar with the disease, Cystic Fibrosis is a condition which affects different aspects of the body but primarily the lungs and digestive system. Despite advances in medications which many people are benefiting from, there are still thousands who suffer daily and relay on countless medications and therapies to stabilise their symptoms.

The Butterfly Trust was established in 2002 to provide face to face support to people affected by Cystic Fibrosis throughout Scotland. Their services were set up to give the Cystic Fibrosis community of Scotland much needed social support in areas such as housing, employment, education and emotional and financial support. Now in 2025, they are the leading provider of social support for people living with Cystic Fibrosis in Scotland.
