Hello! It is hard to believe that it has been 7 years & Jared’s Heroes has raised over $16,000 participating in Easterseals MA fundraising events and supporting Easterseals MA amazing efforts to ensure all individuals have equal opportunities in all aspects of their lives. In July, we will be participating in Easterseals’ Move Campaign. I am thrilled to continue this tradition of raising awareness for Easterseals and to honor my brother Jared. I hope you are able to continue to contribute to our fundraising efforts.

My support for Easterseals MA mission not only comes from my fundraising, but I am very proud to say that I have worked for this amazing organization for close to 20 years as a Physical Therapist. I get the privilege to see first-hand all the amazing things Easterseals MA does for our community.

Over this past year, many of Easterseals programs have continued to grow including the pre-employment program, and the Military and Veterans program. I am most excited this year about the growth of the College Navigator Program. Young adults who once thought their dream of going to college was impossible, now find it is very attainable with the help of Easterseals MA College Navigators!

With your help this past year, here are just some example of how Easterseals MA was able to help people Live, Learn, Work & Play:

- www.massveteran.com reached 7,000 viewers with free online resources that are available 24/7. The website provides easily accessed information that can assist Veterans with post Military Life including support groups and support with job search & job training.

- Pre-employment program helped 54 individuals achieve their goal and obtain a job.

- 160 therapists working on the frontlines provided essential care to clients in our communities.

- College Navigator is currently serving 125 students on local college campuses

- 42 Accessible Martial Arts sessions were held this past year with 54 participants

- The Assistive Technology Regional Center now has a Van to provide mobile demonstrations of their lending library of devices, equipment and software. ATRC can now reach anyone in the community!

The impact Easterseals MA has on an individual’s life through these services is really priceless! As I read the Easterseals MA 2021 annual report, I was inspired by all the personal success stories. Your donations continue to be vital for the growing services that Easterseals MA provides to fill gaps for people in our community with disabilities. Easterseals MA continues to expand and reach more & more people every year in our communities. But they cannot do this without you!

This will be my 17th walk as a participant. However, 7 years ago I decided to create my own team in honor of my brother Jared who passed away 13 years ago. I feel he would be so proud to support this amazing organization if he were still with us. I cannot think of a better way to honor my brother than to raise money for a mission that is so near & dear to my heart.
