Story
Our team is a group of 11 very special ladies who have supported Jane at different stages in her life. Seven of those are fondly known as the 'A team', our local District Nursing team 'Moor to Sea'. In the later stages of Janes life they were with us everyday for 8 months delivering 'cocktails' to Jane alongside laughter, some tuff conversations and always big smiles!
It was the nursing team who suggested we enter the Giant Inflatable obstacle course challenge, after being set a task by Jane to achieve 20 minutes of steps each day in a bid to loose some pounds and raise funds for Rowcroft Hospice at Home Appeal. Needless to say that didn't last too long?!
So......at 9.30am on Saturday 16 October we will be inside Westpoint Centre, Exeter, trying to haul ourselves over the 28 gigantic obstacles including 'The Demon' and 'Oh Balls!'. We have made a team pact that we are going as fast as the slowest person. Lets just hope we manage to get past the start line?!
Inspired by Jane, who never gave up.....we will be completing this challenge!
Our aim is to raise vital funds to allow for the recruitment of more nurses and healthcare assistants to provide professional support to those who have terminal Cancer and want their last days, surrounded by the comfort of their own home. Sarah and Jane were lucky enough to have this support and for Jane to have her last wish.
Thanks for your encouragement and getting involved, lets make a difference!
We're on it Jane Nockolds :)
