Story

Family Rights Group is my new place of work. In week 2 my colleague John persuaded me to do the Great North Run when I shock horror got into the London Marathon through the ballot after some foolish reminiscing in April. He reckons a half marathon will be a good warm up, apparently.

I’ve barely run 5k for about ten years, and in training I’ve only made it to nine miles, so I've still got a long way to go in Newcastle, and then London...would you pleeeease encourage me by donating?

Since I got in through the ballot to the marathon this means I can choose who I fundraise for - so I’m picking all the charities that mean a lot to me, instead of just one. If there’s one that leaps out at you please chuck a fiver or so in the pot or pots - they’ll all be open until after that 26.2 mile big beast.

I wish I could also add Menopause & Cancer, but they are a CIC not a charity so it can’t be done. They absolutely helped me to climb back from the darkest places over the last few years after my breast cancer four years ago, do visit their site if you’d like to donate to them instead.
