Story
Raising money for MS Society and Access Sport in memory of James who was in his final year at university to achieve a BA(Hons) in Sports Development and Coaching. He was cruelly taken from us at the age of 26. From a young age James had a love for sports and in particular football. Whilst studying for his degree he worked as a sports coach at academies in Surbiton and Plymouth and in local Plymouth schools. His ultimate aim was to dedicate his life to help children through sport. James wanted to encourage, help and inspire children who have difficulties with the school system or struggle with just growing up. James understood how children felt and why they might rebel. James knew the power of sport and wanted to demonstrate that through sport and a caring, supportive coach anything is possible. He made a difference and touched the lives of so many in his short but amazingly full life.
For MS, there are many people close to James who have a connection to this charity. Families rely on the work that this charity provides and on going support could help towards the next research breakthrough in MS. James was full of life and fun but he was also extremely generous and big hearted. He wanted to help raise money to fund research and support for people living with MS, particularly his friends. He was due to support one of his friends who is running from London to Brighton in May. This is set up in memory of James who would have been there to support his friend.
