Lydia and I reconnected 5 years ago and have now been married for 3 years (though we did know each other a few moons ago at school!) Lydia has worked as an NHS nurse for 30 years and, in that time, has met some wonderful people and heard the most incredible stories of courage and love. Some of the people she has most admired have been parents and families with children suffering from life-limiting illnesses and conditions. As Lydia and I eagerly await the birth of our 5th grandchild in February 2023, we have decided to raise money for the amazing Shooting Star Children's Hospices which supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across London and Surrey. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, Shooting Stars is there to make every moment count. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care. We know how very blessed we are and we would love your support in raising funds to help families going through an unbearable journey.
