Thank you for visiting our team Irwin Mitchell - Step up to Sepsis JustGiving page. IM colleagues are taking part in Step Up To Sepsis in aid of UK Sepsis Trust (UKST)!

UKST’s mission is to save lives from sepsis and improve outcomes for survivors. They do this by instigating political change, educating healthcare professionals, raising public awareness and providing support to those affected.

We support families affected by sepsis and work closely with UK Sepsis Trust to raise awareness and help avoid issues with sepsis.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
