For the first time in a generation, global poverty is rising. Covid-19, conflict, and the climate crisis are pushing more of our global neighbours into a struggle for survival. For Jessica, a loving mother in Zimbabwe drought means every day is a struggle for survival. Like many women, she toils on her farm, but no food can grow on her ashen dry land. She shares her heartbreak: 'My children crave a decent meal, but I can't provide. We often go to bed on an empty stomach. It pains me to send them to bed hungry.' By supporting our fundraising with whatever you can afford, together, we can make a real difference to families just like Jessica's. With support from Christian Aid partners Jessica can learn how to sow drought tolerant crops and how to grow food in dry seasons.
