Walk the Wight returns in 2021. Mountbatten's unique and world famous walk annually attracts thousands of people to walk across the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside to raise money in support of patient and family care provided by Mountbatten.

Story

Our Dad died 12th March 2021 at Mountbatten Hospice. The team that cared for him, and for our family, throughout the most difficult thing we have had to face together, were incredible. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for all of us; allowing us to laugh and cry, to spend as much time as possible together... For my Dad to be surrounded by his loved ones and for us to be there for him, is a cherished memory. The work of the hospice is invaluable and they played a large and invaluable part of our family's lives for many months, we developed relationships with the carers, the doctors, the volunteers and the admin staff, they were there for all of us; helping us get through the most awful time; and we always want to remember them and thank them for that. This walk is for our Dad and for the hospice; for everyone who needs to access the support the hospice provides, we could not of coped without them and for any family that needs them, we walk to allow them to continue to do the incredible work they do.
