Story
As we aren't going to be able to do our traditional Christian Aid week activities in Haxby and Wigginton we've decided to set ourselves a virtual challenge to raise much needed funds to enable Christian Aid's partners stand with some of the world's poorest people.
We will be endeavouring to run, walk or ride 7063 kilometres during April and May (the distance between York and Nairobi) during our daily exercise time outside, or on a treadmill, exercise bike, etc.
Please sponsor us to keep going. Your donations will be gratefully received and will help to make a big difference to the lives of some of our poorest neighbours around the world.
Faith's green fields are a sign of hope as the climate crisis rages on. Drought in Kenya pushed Faith to the brink as she couldn't grow crops. Hunger was a reality. Sending children to school an impossibility.
A sand dam has given her resilience in times of drought. With water Faith can farm. With water she can make bricks to build an outside toilet. With water she can maintain a garden full of vegetables and fruit trees.
By supporting me this Christian Aid Week you can help more people like Faith fight for a greener future. Together we stop this climate crisis.
Love never fails. Coronavirus impacts us all, but love unites us all. For over 70 years, Christian Aid have been standing with the poorest of our neighbours, with people of all faiths and none, to stand up for dignity, equality and justice. Let's stand together with our neighbours near and far.
