Story

Hi All,

For the third time, Hubbox have entered a team into the 205 mile, Ride for Precious Lives, with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the Children’s Hospice South West. The ride takes in three counties and three hospices over three days with 2018 marking the 10th anniversary of the event. This year I roped in my old Brizzle buddies, Tom Hawkins, Dan Knight, Pete Sowden and Paul Newman. We are looking forward to meeting all the other riders and support team members along the way.

The ride takes in each of the three children’s hospices; Little Harbour near St Austell, Little Bridge House near Barnstaple and Charlton Farm near Bristol. The buzz and camaraderie between the cyclists over the three days is one of the event’s big draws. This exceptional event attracts cyclists of all abilities who are committed to cycling between 65 and 80 miles each day. A challenge to be proud of! Cyclists who have taken part have been inspired by the children and families they met along the way at our three hospices, together with the care team and family members that take part too - and it is this that makes the Ride for Precious Lives a truly unique cycle event and a must do on any cyclist’s calendar.

The Ride for Precious Lives starts in Bristol on Friday 9th July 2021 and we hope to finishes in St Austell on Sunday 11th July 2021.

Cheers Richard
