Story

Summer 2022 will see the King George Playing Fields being redeveloped.

As players, parents or supporters of Horsforth St Margaret’s Football Club we are being asked to help raise £30,000. This fundraising is crucial to the completion of the project and will be used alongside grants secured by the club to cover the considerable costs of the work.

The work will transform football at our club, giving us more pitches, that are flat, well drained and playable throughout the year and available for training. Plans are available on Leeds Planning Portal - this is a fundraising page.

The redevelopment will benefit all teams from Dribblers through to Open Age, and compliment the fantastic facilities we already have at our clubhouse, Horsforth Sports Club.

Inspired by the Men’s Open Age Team who will complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks, all 100+ of our Horsforth St Margaret's Teams, from Dribblers to Open Age, are being asked to complete their own 'Peaks Challenge' on Saturday 25th June 2022.

Challenges so far include:

Open Age Men: Yorkshire Three Peaks

U15 Kicks: By Eck (Up): Clubhouse to Eccup Reservoir and back

U7 Chargers, Colts, Hunters, Hurricanes, Mustangs, Pegasus, Rangers, Stallions, Thunder, Tornadoes and Typhoons: One of the Yorkshire Peaks (TBC)
