Event: Midnight Walk 2023, from 10 June 2023 to 11 June 2023
St Catherine's Hospice Midnight Walk is back for 2023! Our hospice heroes are making every step count as they walk the star lit Horsham route to help the hospice be there for terminally ill people as life comes full circle.

Story

St Wilfrid's School supports six local charities across the school community. One of these is St Catherine's Hospice. Already this year, the aptly named Catherine House, has taken on a challenge by taking part in the Youth Enterprise Challenge, using enterprising skills to turn an initial £50 into a lot more money. But we want to raise more

Each house will have a representative, either the house leader or an associated staff member (Elizabeth Papastanasiou, Katherine Perrin, Debbie Betts, Cerys Beck, Kate Jones and Emily Zeidler) and supported by myself Chris Iddles, Mike Lewis and Imogen Lock . At this moment, the 9 of us have signed up to walk and taken on the 20 mile walk option. Training will see some longer walking sessions taking place as a team before embarking on the walk together. The first 7 mile training walk went well.

As a local charity, our links go back over a decade and we look forward to continuing to work with St Catherine's Hospice and the benefits this brings to so many families.

About the charity

We’re there for people in Sussex and East Surrey, with expert hospice care, when and where they need us most. Our care is only possible thanks to the generosity of our local community who donate to and volunteer with us. Community support means we’re there when life comes full circle.
