Story
Hopeman Girls have decided to do a virtual walk, cycle, run or jump from Land's End to John O'Groats in the final weeks of the Summer term 2020 to raise funds for two important causes that have come to our attention during this time. Together we are going to try and cover the 603 miles by tallying together our efforts. Each girl is going to contribute in the way that she can based on where they live and what their lockdown rules allow.
Our first chosen charity is Showing Racism the Red Card. Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism education charity which utilises the high profile of professional footballers as anti-racist role-models to combat racism in society. They produce educational resources and deliver training events and workshops. For more details please see www.theredcard.org
We are also fundraising for the Yemen Emergency appeal because each day the Yemeni people go without support, children go hungry and lives are lost. Without help from generous, goodhearted people, Yemen will continue to suffer.
Please donate to either of our chosen charities we will be very grateful for your support in our challenge!
