Story

Three Weeks to GO!:

Been a while since the last update - and what a state we've found ourselves in. Over the past 4 weeks we have not been able to have any training due to being struck with COVID and some form of viral fever! Add to that - one half of the Holy Walkamolies can now reveal that they are going to be 20weeks pregnant on the day of the walk! But will we let that stop us?? OF COURSE NOT!

Today we thought we would work off some Easter Eggs and get ourselves back on track. A nice wee 12miler - sorted us right out!

SO - with only two weekends of training left before the big day - take a look at our page, dig deep, and support the 2.5 members of the team :)! See you all in Loch Lomond!

Time for an update:

So far across our walks we've been blown about, rained on...and truly enjoyed ourselves in the outdoors!

Our main training walks have been at the weekends and we've covered a good 34miles with smaller 'keep the limbs tickin' walks through the week days. Working on our speed as well as distance, while keeping enough breath in our lungs to chatter the whole way, we're currently at a 15min mile.

Help us to stay focussed and walking ever faster by clicking the link and donating towards a fantastic cause.

The Holy Walkamolies

Just a couple of girls from Barassie who have known each other all our lives - walking and talking our way around 24miles to raise as much as we can to give back to others.

We are raising all our money for the Ayrshire Hospice to support them in providing palliative care for people across Ayrshire.

Please help us to reach our goal and soothe our soles as we walk from Glasgow to Loch Lomond.

Our charity cares for adults in Ayrshire and Arran with life-limiting illnesses. We help them live as actively as possible to the end of their lives, however long that may be. Hospice care is open to all. It’s free for patients but it’s not free to provide. So we need to raise over £4M each year.
