The Regulatory department at Hugh James are teaming up with their social work clients to raise money for three great charities, namely Whizz Kidz, LATCH and the Bucknall Brothers.

In an effort to raise money for these charities, the team will be climbing the Welsh Three Peaks on the 10th September 2022.

Our Charities:

In April 2019 Ellis and Jesse Bucknall were born 12 weeks premature. They spent 12 weeks in NICU. By the time they were 6 weeks old both had been diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a lifelong condition caused by a rare genetic mutation. The boys have made incredible progress as a result of therapy that they have accessed at the NAPA Centre in Boston. In order to raise funds to access more therapy to help these incredible little boys team member Vikki has been undertaking a number of challenges and has added our 3 Peak adventure to the list.

LATCH supports the children who are receiving treatment for cancer at the Children’s Hospital for Wales and their families. Their catchment area stretches from Chepstow in the South to Aberystwyth in the North where an unbelievable 70 new cases are diagnosed every year. This is an invaluable support to families facing the toughest challenge of their life and funds raised support the essential work that they do.

An estimated 75,000 young people in the UK need a wheelchair to be mobile. Without the correct wheelchair a young person can find themselves dependent on others and socially isolated. Whizz-Kidz aims to change the lives of young wheelchair users to support independence and confidence.
