Story
In October 2024 our dad Mike Lowe sadly passed away almost 3 months to the day after a sudden diagnosis of an aggressive brain cancer which progressed very quickly.
In July 2025, we have challenged ourselves to take on the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike - 2 days before our dad’s birthday.
Next October, 2 days before the anniversary of his death, Abi will also be running Cardiff Half Marathon. Both challenges are being done to to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support - a charity vital for supporting other people like my dad and families like mine.
We’d be so grateful if you could help us reach a team target of £1000, which can pay for 4 Macmillan Nurses for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
