Story
At HF, we understand the responsibility we have to our profession, clients, people, suppliers and the communities in which we operate.
That's why we're proud to be partnered with One Punch UK in 2023 to help them raise awareness of the devastation that 'One Punch' can do and to support the victims of one-punch violence.
A former Litigation Executive in Recoveries and a friend to many at HF, Jack Jermy-Doyle, tragically died last year after being assaulted. As a firm, we've been helping to support Jack's family and after conversations with them, we decided it would be a fitting tribute to support a charity nominated by them as being close to their heart - One Punch UK.
One Punch UK is an extremely small charity run by Maxine Thompson-Curl and Tony Curl, who do the vast majority of charity work themselves with very limited support.
Maxine lost her son Kristian 12 years ago after he was assaulted and sustained a catastrophic brain injury. For the last 10 years Maxine and Tony have campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and improve the support for families who suffer from the devastating consequences of one punch violence.
The money we raise this year will go towards helping Maxine and Tony continue their important work of supporting victims and their families.
