As some of you may know, our daughter Sofia was paralysed in July due to a rare aneurysm that was found in her spine. She required urgent life saving surgery and has been an in-patient at the Bristol Children's Hospital since July, whilst she recovers.

She has made huge progress, from only being able to wiggle one toe to now being able to stand in her "golden frame" with support. She continues to amaze us all every day.

Intensive physiotherapy makes a huge difference to the potential recovery Sofia can make and repetition is the key. There is so much equipment that can improve children with spinal injuries recovery and rehabilitation. I'm fundraising for a FES bike for the neuro-rehab department of Bristol Children's Hospital. The expensive bike stimulates the muscles as the bike pedals move, reminding the brain and nerves how the movement should work. This bike could change the life of so many of the children like Sofia who are undergoing or will undergo rehabalitation at Bristol.
