Claudia's Help2beatMS Challenge
Living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a challenge different to everyone of us who is affected. This degenerative illness is so variable, some struggle with walking and mobility, whereas others like myself struggle with chronic fatigue, cognition and memory problems. There is currently no cure for MS.
If you try to look after yourself by living a reasonably healthy lifestyle, this can often lead to misunderstandings of the condition - "but you look so well" is a regular comment when hearing about an invisible disability. People can't see what's going on in your head or feel your pins and needles.
Trying to find ways to first understand and then manage my MS has been an ongoing challenge, but I have received fantastic and invaluable support along the way from the three charities I am fundraising for.
To give back I plan to raise £5,000 before I hit 50 and I hope you can help me with this!
I will challenge myself to as many events as possible, whether running, cycling, swimming or else and I will post updates about my training progress here, so keep looking for updates.
If you have any ideas or suggestions where I should take part in to raise money, please get in touch.
Please have a look at each of my pages by following the links below and hopefully you find one (or three) you would like to support and help me raising funds to beat MS.
1) Help2beatMS-OMS supports Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis
2) Help2beatMS-MSS supports the MS Society
3) Help2beatMS-CMSC supports the Chilterns MS Centre in Wendover
Thank you!
