Story
In loving memory of Jays Mum (Jack and Toms Aunty)!!
We are running the London Marathon this year to raise money for Lymphoma Action, a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts in memory of Nicola Stevens. She passed away on 24th August 2024 after loosing her battle with a form of non- Hodgkin's lymphoma, due to it not being a common cancer she had reached out to Lymphoma for support and guidance which was provided without any hesitation. Nicki was a true inspiration, and this marathon is our way of honoring her legacy by supporting a charity that supported us and carrys on supporting so many others. Every step we take will be in her memory, and with your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Your generosity will mean the world to me and to so many others who benefit from this charity’s life-changing work.
If the money we raise can help provide one person with the support they need when going through the cancer Nicki had endured then we have made a huge difference.
Thank you for your support!
Lymphoma action is the UK's only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the 5th most common cancer. We’ve been providing trusted information and support for over 35 years, helping thousands of people affected by lymphoma.
Our mission is to make sure no one faces lymphoma alone.
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.
What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
