Story
Harri & David are trekking the Grand Canyon for Thames Hospice.
Whilst this trek will challenge us both mentally and physically, we know this does not compare to the struggle of those patients and their families who are facing the most difficult of challenges.
If you aren’t familiar with Thames Hospice, they support patients and their families through the toughest of journeys, offering respite, care, compassion and support. They rely on the generosity of the amazing community, whose support enables them to provide the best possible end-of-life care for local people.
It costs £14 million every year just to keep the Hospice running and they rely on charitable support to fund their services 365 days a year to the people who need them most. They cannot do this without our help, so please do dig deep and sponsor us as much as you can.
Here are just a few ways that your generous donations will make a difference: -
£13 could pay for a Senior Nurse bereavement call, to check how the family is doing and see if any support is needed after the loss of their loved one.
£53 will pay for one counselling appointment.
£110 will pay for lunch for 10 patients accessing the Thames Hospice Paul Bevan Well Being Centre.
£1,050 pays for 24 hours of care in their Inpatient Unit for one patient.
£5,400 will pay for three patients receiving Hospice at home care for 7 weeks.
A £20 donation from 300 people would contribute to all of the above and bring us to our ambitious target! We know times are tough, but you can make a real difference to people’s lives by donating today.
Thank you for you support!!
