Mourne Seven Summits · 17 June 2023 ·

On Saturday 17th June 2023 take on the tough challenge of climbing to the summit of all seven peaks in the Mourne Mountains, Co.Down that are 700m or more above sea level.

Story

On Saturday 17th June 2023 we will be taking on the Mourne Seven Summits challenge to raise money for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. By supporting us you will be helping Cancer Focus NI to continue to deliver vital services to cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.

This is a HUGE challenge and for many of us we have never undergone anything like this before (it still feels a little surreal to be honest)! Our training started in January and we still have a long way to go. But together we will climb seven mountains in one day. Our hope is that on the day we won’t be chasing the sun 🤞🏼but the sun will be chasing us, so we can provide funding that will give hope and a little bit of light to others during what is the darkest of times.

Please get behind us and show your support. Those of you that know us, will know that we want to stay positive about this challenge; one of the best positives to come out of it so far is our new found friendships with each other because together ‘We’ve got this!’ Another positive will be you taking your time to donate to such a worthy charity, so that’s why we decided on calling ourselves ‘The Happy Hikers, Hiking for Hope’.
