Raising money for Cyclists Fighting Cancer and Leeds Hospitals Charity

Story

On the year of our milestone 18th and 50th birthdays, we have decided to 'celebrate' by doing what is by far the hardest challenge either of us have ever embarked on.

We know that donations don't come easy, they need to be earned. This time we are going to take on Lands End to John O'Groats, in 7 days. Riding over 1000 miles in total, with over 57000 ft of climbing.

This challenge is no mean feat, a daily average of 145 miles, and we expect each stage will take us around 10 hours of total riding time.

We are raising funds for two fantastic causes:

Inspired by Rob Burrow, the rugby league player who recently passed away from MND, we are raising money to contribute to the building of a specialist Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Care Centre in Leeds, to give people living with MND the best quality of life.

In addition, we are raising money for Cyclists Fighting Cancer, who do brilliant work with children and young people living with cancer across the UK regain their physical fitness, improve mental wellness and reduce social isolation by giving them new lightweight bikes, specially adapted trikes, cycling related equipment and support.

There is the option to donate to either of the 2 charities so please contribute to the one that means the most for you. We would love to donate an equal amount to each charity so please bear that in mind when choosing!

Thanks for your kind donations
