We have been friends for many years and have raised funds for several charitable events in the past. However, we realise how much dementia has had a huge impact on both of our families. We want to run this half marathon to support Alzheimer's research UK to help find a cure for this truly dreadful disease.

If nothing changes and a cure is not found thisdisease will impact one in two of us in the future either directly or as a carer.
