Walk on the Wild Side just got wilder - this year you can prowl for lions, or amble for elephants. Complete the challenge anytime between 01-31st August and raise at least £100 to qualify for a limited edition commemorative Pole Pole or Elsa Medal.

Story

At the end of January 2023 I had my right hip replaced after a long battle with Arthritis in my hips. (Possibly because of 40 years of hairdressing and being quite tall) And now at the end of May 2023 I’ve had my left hip replaced. To help my recovery and give me focus I thought to do this walk and fundraise for Born Free. As my young granddaughters like to fundraise too and are big fans of Born Free after adopting: Gerry the Girraffe, Springer the Orca and Elle the Elephant, they will accompany me for the three mile walk on this year‘s World Elephant Day, on 12th August 2023. It’s the most I would have walked in the previous five years. And the girls are excited to be doing it too. We can do this! 🐘🐘🐘🐘 🙌🙌🙌🙌
