DATE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS 23rd May 2020 now postponed to 2nd October 2021.
It’s what they say, everyone knows someone who is dealing with or coping with the aftermath of Cancer. For Dana it’s a particularly hard time as her Mum is loosing her battle with Cancer and we pray she’ll be here to see us cross the finish line.
For Fiona, her story is a positive, courageous one, not only has she fought, conquered and survived the dreaded ‘C’ but her husband has to. Taking part is her way of saying a massive thank you and giving back a little to all those that helped them.
Fiona and Dana have been friends for over 22 years and when Fi asked Dana to help her achieve this 100km cycle she jumped at the chance and together they will cross that finish line.
“We’re serious about achieving this and cycling 100k is hard and at night is no easy feet”
Just think, at 9pm when you are settling down with a cup of coco in front of a snug fire, we’ll be at the start line, ready to cycle through the night, probably in the bitter cold, and certainly in the rain (this is Britain). We’ll be cycling into the wee hours of the morning, crossing the finish line just as you’re waking up!
We need your help! We need you to sponsor us, keep us motivated and raise some money for 3 great causes.
It doesn’t come easy! In November we started our training, waking at 5.30am to get to the gym, doing long rides in the cold, wind and rain, enduring pain, squats and the dreaded burpee’s just so we will be fit enough on the day.
In fact we’re loving spending this quality time together however sadistic, but we’d both love it more if you can reach into your pockets and donate what ever you can to help push us further and achieve our goal so we can ride this epic challenge.
Thank you in advance and for your kindness,
Dana & Fiona xx
