Raising money for Guide Dogs and Brain Tumour Research

Story

I was lucky to get a ballot place in the London Marathon 2025. Having never run a marathon before it is a fairly daunting prospect but I turned 50 last year so if I don't do it now then I never will!

I have chosen to raise money for Brain Tumour Research and Guide Dogs.

Sadly I know several people whose lives have been or are being affected by brain tumours. I feel very lucky to be in a position to attempt the marathon and know that when the going gets tough, it will pass, which is often not the case for those living with a brain tumour.

I have been training with the Anster Allsorts running group in Anstruther. Their support and advice has been invaluable and I couldn't be doing this without them. The Allsorts are big supporters of Guide Dogs with several members of the Allsorts also running the marathon, raising funds to help those affected by sight loss.

Thank you for your support, it is very much appreciated and your donations will definitely help me to keep going and cross the finish line on 27th April!
