In 2022 swimmers raised in excess of £12,500 and we have high hopes that we can match or better this figure in 2023 with proceeds going to our main charity Break Children's Homes as well as to other local King's Lynn & West Norfolk charities.

Story

The Gateway iCaf welcomes Ukrainian refugees and teaches English on a weekly basis. The project has been a lifeline to people fleeing the ongoing war in Ukraine and enables them to meet up make friends and learn English.

What is the Swimarathon?

It is a fun, family day open to to swimmers of all ages and abilities, where teams of 6 swim in relays for 55 minutes to complete as many lengths as possible. The aim of the Swimarathon is to raise as much money as possible for local connected Rotary charities.

In 2022 swimmers and sponsorship helped raise in excess of £12,500 and we have high hopes that we can match or better this figure in 2023. Proceeds will go to our main charity Break Children's Homes as well as to other local charities.

About the charity

The Rotary Club of King’s Lynn Priory is a group of community minded people who meet regularly to plan and implement projects and events that will benefit many good causes. As well as raising money for local charities, we also support major Rotary International projects such as the eradication of polio worldwide and ShelterBox disaster relief.
