Story

We, at GatenbySanderson, are proud that we will be supporting Alzheimer's Society as our chosen “Charity of the Year” until April 2024.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.

Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Currently, there are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK - this number is set to rise to 1 million by 2025.

Our fundraising efforts help provide vital dementia support, make breakthroughs in dementia research and grow Alzheimer's Society 3 million strong Dementia Friends Network, helping those living with dementia carry on doing the things they love.

As dementia progresses, people might find it increasingly difficult to recognise their family and friends. However, memories of songs and music are often preserved. Our target of £5000 pays for 66 people to attend Singing for the Brain sessions over the course of a year, which is one of Alzheimer's Society's most popular services.

Thank you in advance for your support.
