Story
We are supporting Christina to complete 60 miles during April. As she uses her wheelchair outdoors she has decided to cycle on her new exercise bike indoors. Each time she cycles a photo will be taken to confirm distance. Gary and I will walk miles needed, to ensure 60 miles is achieved in April.
Christina continues to face challenges caused by Sturge Weber Syndrome and we as her parents are continuing to learn of how the syndrome affects her. Its hard to comprehend that day to day can be so varying. Fatigue is so overwhelming some days. Seizures continue to be unpredictable.
Christina has to accepts she has these difficult days but on good days she loves craft, visits to the zoo, times with her best buddy, seeing family, visits from friends and living in her home getting the best care.
The charity is of vital importance to Christina, she likes to follow everyone via facebook. The charity works closely with Great Ormond Street Hospital. It continues to support families, sets up family weekends, offers specialist equipment grants, as well as provide up to date literature.
KEEPING ACTIVE in APRIL is to raise awareness of the rare neurological condition Sturge Weber Syndrome and vital funds for Sturge Weber UK
