Story
As a team of 5, we are skydiving in June 2022 to raise funds for The Charity for Civil Servants.
Who are we
We are Fun-Divers, we are a team of foodies, travellers and now fundraising skydivers! We have:
Basil (top left) - always breaking through his limits in his student life, this time the sky is the limit!
Stephanie (bottom left) - she likes hiking, camping and discovering the hidden gems (restaurants and cafes) in the most unexpected places.
Jia (middle) - she is a diver but soon she'll become a SKY-diver! She enjoys travelling and trying out various spicy food.
Lok Kwan (top right) - she enjoys surfing and cycling along the coastline. She is always looking for a new adventure.
Kevin (bottom right) - he is our youngest and the bravest! Having skydived in Australia before, he is doing it again but with a good cause this time!
The Charity for Civil Servants
The Charity for Civil Servants is the occupational charity for all 480,000+ people currently employed in the Civil Service, and around one million former and retired colleagues who are eligible to support for life.
The Charity for Civil Servants (registered as the Civil Service Benevolent Fund) was founded in 1886, originally to support destitute widows and orphans of civil servants. The Charity now operates in all four countries of the UK, providing emotional, financial, and practical support to current and former civil servants and their dependants, that is confidential, impartial, and free at the point of access.
More than half of all civil servants earn less than the average UK salary. Almost 1 in 4 are caring for a loved one – nearly twice the national average. The average civil service pension is just £4200. Just over 1 in 10 have an existing mental health condition. In the last three years, the Charity has responded to over 230,000 requests for help and provided more than £5m in financial assistance.
It’s easier when you and your family have a whole community behind you and that is why we are raising money for the Charity!
