This September, we’re taking on Race the Sun Jurassic Coast, a sunrise-to-sunset challenge to bike 34 miles, hike 8 miles along the coast, and paddle 2 miles around a tough sea course. And honestly? It’s going to be a serious challenge for us!

Lou is facing her fears after falling off her bike on the way to book club, breaking not just her clavicle but also her confidence to get back in the saddle. Fran, on the other hand, hasn’t been on a bike since 2023—she’s been busy smashing it at Frost Functional Training with Lou in Sonning Common instead. And as for the canoe section? Let’s just say that with two dodgy shoulders between us, we’ll be doing our best not to paddle in circles!

We’re putting ourselves through this in support of Action Medical Research, a charity that has spent over 70 years funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.
