Story

Hello and welcome to my Just Giving page!

In October 2024 I will be running the Manchester half marathon in aid of the Alzheimer’s society. With the support of Lucy and some friends running alongside me we hope to raise as much money as possible.

A little back ground on why we are doing this...

In 2021 my amazing Grandma was diagnosed with dementia. Like many familes who have recieved similar devastating news, it was a day we hoped would never come. As a family we have banded together to provide support where we can, but will no doubt require support from charities like this in the future. Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future. Therefore any money we raise will help families like mine in there time of need.

I have never been a runner so this is going to be a big challenge, but one I want to take on to raise as much money as possible for such an amazing cause. We will be sharing our training journey through social media so feel free to follow along and give us any advice or encouragement to keep us going!

Any and all support would be greatly appreciated! Training starts now!
