Story

Never did I think I would be running a half marathon, and never in my wildest dreams did I think my dad would be diagnosed with a brain tumour, but here we are.

This run will be the biggest mental challenge for me, as someone who can currently only run around 5km. However, it’s nothing compared to the struggles of a brain tumour diagnosis. My dad is the strongest person I know, so running 13.1 miles is the least I can do to show my support and raise awareness for this disease.

Life is too short for “what if”, so do the things that challenge you, travel to the places you’ve always wanted to go to, and hold the people you love a little longer.

I could not imagine doing this journey without the two most special people in my life. Georgia and Emily have been with me through thick and thin and I will forever be grateful for them. Running this half marathon together will be such a special and memorable moment for our friendship that we can cherish for a long time.

We are aiming to raise a minimum of £1,050 for the Brain Tumour Charity, and we would be really grateful if you could contribute with any donation. Thank you so much.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.

We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
