Story
9 out of 10 children diagnosed with cancers are dying in Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa. Kirstie, Natalie, Lizzie, Amber, Anne and Peter are joining Paula's Equator Relay to complete 50 miles in the run up to Christmas to help Paula Radcliffe and daughter Isla, who contracted cancer in 2019, raise funds in aid of Shoe4Africa.
On 24th December 2021 a small group of runners led by British superstar Paula Radcliffe will be joined by Kenyan Olympic stars like the reigning Olympic Champion Emmanuel Korir, to run an 80-kilometre relay from the equator to the site where a groundbreaking ceremony will take place to build a 152 bed public children's cancer hospital. This will be the first ever children's cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, private or public.
