Event: Thames Path Mighty Hike 2024 - half marathon, on 14 July 2024 Start fundraising for this event
In July 2024, we're hiking a half or full marathon along the beautiful Thames Path to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

Story

In July 2023, Yvonne Lawrence (wife, mum, nan), was diagnosed with breast cancer.

This was the first-time someone in our immediate family had been affected, and it came as a shock. However, everyone involved in providing care and support throughout Yvonne's treatment have been amazing and she is on the road to recovery. And, so, we want to give back!

One year on, in July 2024, we're taking on a Mighty Hike along the beautiful Thames Path to raise money for people living with cancer. This will be the first-time any of us have taken on a challenge such as this, and the first-time we have come together as a family to fundraise for a great cause.

We have pledged to raise £1,000 and would appreciate any support in reaching this.

Through this fundraising my pledge, we could pay for a Macmillan Support Worker who provides emotional, practical and financial advice to someone affected by cancer.
