More than 10 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water. Donate now.

Story

This Friday – starting at 19:30 – we will attempt to ride our bikes for 24 hours, riding through the night, stopping only for food, drink and mother nature breaks. Actually, there’s no attempt, we WILL ride our bikes for 24 hours.

Whilst we're both pretty adventurous when it comes to this sort of gig, this goes far beyond anything we could describe as enjoyable, especially through the long cold March nights so it really should be pretty brutal. Rest assured we’ll be taking the 24 hours very seriously and racking up as many kilometres as possible. Why are we doing it? In a hopeful attempt to try and raise some money to support the tragic humanitarian crisis currently happening in Ukraine.

We’ve chosen to support the Disasters Emergency Committee. They provide exclusively humanitarian support, and we’re confident any money raised will be used in the best way possible – helping innocent Ukrainian civilians. It’s completely unimaginable what they’re going through and as privileged western Europeans we can’t relate in the slightest, but maybe this small act of effort will help to raise enough money to help one or two people in need out there.

Whether you can spare some beer money or support on the bikes any help will be appreciated.

Our plan:

19:30 – Leave Clapham on a 200km loop to Oxford

Very early Saturday morning – Refuel and reload on food, water, clothes and generic warm things

Very early Saturday morning – Leave Clapham on a 200km loop to Cambridge

Saturday afternoon – Second reload at Clapham

Saturday afternoon – Leave Clapham on a London landmarks tour lapping Richmond, Battersea, Regents Parks and what ever else we can squeeze in before 19:30

**we’ll share live tracking on our socials throughout so come and meet us, or just see how slow we are after 12, 16, 20 hours on the bikes...

Please please come and join in for as much or as little as you like. Especially the final laps back in London. We’ll be wearing Anti War t-shirts throughout and have flags to fly on the back of the bikes for the time in the cities (with hand written messages to Mr Putin himself), so if you can get hold of one or both, bring it along!

Lastly – thank you very very much in advance to anyone who donates through this link. Below is a brief description from DEC about where your money will go and what in can buy:

Lots of love,
